Things I eat everyday and still lose weight: Bacon. Eggs. Cream Cheese. Heavy Whipping Cream. Butter


Hey, y'all! I'm Rizzo and I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) when I was 11 years old. I'm 24 now and have been struggling with my weight and my health my whole life. I tried everything it seems... I went on birth control when I was 13, Metformin when I was 22, I tried Paleo, the super scary HCG diet, counting calories, counting fat, working out until I was too tired to hardly breathe... UGH!!! I was so frustrated! I felt disgusting and was willing to try anything. Finally I just decided I would give up. I was going to eat whatever I wanted because nothing else helped anyway.

On May 9th of this year, I discovered something that would change my whole life. I want it to be able to change yours, too!!! Now... I'm just throwin' this out there. I'm NOT a doctor. I'm NOT in any way, shape, or form a medical/nutritional/professional ANYTHING. The things I'm going to show you are things I've seen work for other cysters like me and I'm just trying to share the love and help others that might be having a problem with their weight and overall health. The thing I discovered is called the Keto Diet. This "diet" is more of a lifestyle. It's going to be hard at first, but once you get into it.... I'm telling you. It's freaking magical.

Your body goes into a state called "ketosis" where fats are burned as energy rather than carbs. When doing it correctly, you should be eating the most of good fats, an average amount of protein, and no more than 20-50 carbs a day. My percentage breakdown is 71.5% fat, 22.5% protein, and 5% carbs. Now, I know what you're going to say... "71% FAT?!?!?!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LOSE WEIGHT BY EATING FAT?!" Y'all. Please. Trust. Me. By minimizing your carb intake, you're literally training your body to use FAT as ENERGY rather than carbs. Your body will become a fat burning machineeeeeee!!!!

I use the MyFitnessPal app to track what I eat, how much I'm losing, and what my macros come out to as I'm eating. It sounds like a lot to keep up with. I know. I've been there. It's honestly second nature now. I log what I eat BEFORE I eat it so that I can see how my macros will come out. If it breaks Keto, I don't eat it. You can create recipes you use regularly that way it doesn't take so long to log. My usual foods right now are cauliflower fried rice (3g carbs), italian cream sodas (1g carbs), and a homemade strawberry frosting (3g carbs) that I eat as a snack. FROSTING, Y'ALL. FREAKING FROSTING! Ugh. I can't get over this. It's so good.

I'm tellin' you. I'm going to post recipes, tips, and my own weight loss journey on this blog to keep everyone motivated to keep going. I started May 9, 2017 and I've already lost almost 8lbs. Everything I'll post is Ketotally Delicious, I promise!! :D
